Know exactly what you're installing.

These are transparent pilot releases. A SHA-256 fingerprint lets you confirm that your download is byte-for-byte the file published here. It detects a changed or incomplete download, but does not replace Apple or Microsoft publisher verification.

If the result does not match exactly, delete the file and ask in Discord before opening it. The next Mac release is being prepared for Apple notarization; Windows publisher signing remains deferred while demand is being validated.

Your first five minutes.

Ratatouille is portable software, not a traditional installer. Your first goal is simply to open it and let the built-in Guide walk you through a small real example.

  1. Download the correct build and, if you want the strongest check, compare its SHA-256 fingerprint above.
  2. Unzip it. On Windows, keep Ratatouille.exe beside its _internal folder. On Mac, move Ratatouille.app into Applications.
  3. Open Ratatouille. Use the one-time pilot-release step shown under your platform above if your system asks.
  4. Choose Guide inside the app. Start with setup, then add one real item and one real transaction so the workflow makes sense before importing more.
  5. Need a person? Join the Discord below. Setup help is available for Lite users too.

Runs free. Unlock Business when you're ready.

Every download is the full app running as Lite — free, local, yours. Business adds the reseller toolset (clients, pipeline, Schedule C books, forecasting, reporting).

  1. Download & run — it works immediately as Lite, no account, no sign-in.
  2. Pay for Business — $49/mo, $132/3 months (save 10%), or $490/year (2 months free), in Bitcoin. You'll get a payment link.
  3. Get your license key by email — a signed key, verified on your own machine.
  4. Activate — paste it into Settings → License → Activate. Business unlocks. Done.
